Greg Rosenbaum – Biographical Brief

Greg Rosenbaum is a leading American businessman, philanthropist, and enthusiast of all things involving the world of athletics, both amateur and professional, which is why he came to be the Team Leader for the U.S. Olympic Modern Pentathlon team in the just completed Rio games.

Greg is President of Palisades Associates, Inc. a merchant banking firm in the Washington, DC area. He is a principal owner of the Dayton Dragons of the Class A Midwest League, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, the most successful team in the history of professional sports, as defined by 1,1,188 consecutive sellouts at the end of the 2016 season (Greg and his wife, Marti, actually bought season tickets so they would be assured of a place to sit when they attend Dragon games).  He also owns a minority stake in the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the New York-Penn League Class A Short Season farm club of the Cleveland Indians.

Greg is also a principal owner of a restaurant group in Washington which includes the acclaimed DGS Delicatessen and Whaley’s.

A leader in the American Jewish community, he has served on numerous boards, and has been honored by many of the nation’s leading Jewish organizations.  In 2009, the Jewish Daily Forward named him to its 50 Most Influential Jewish Americans list. In 2013, President Obama appointed Greg to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, which oversees the US Holocaust Museum.

In the world of politics, he served as a Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee at the recent convention in Philadelphia.

Greg is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. His wife is also a Harvard graduate, as are their three children.
